Conceptual Note

The composition is dominated by bold, intersecting planes of color, creating a striking vertical division. These monumental forms delineate distinct zones, drawing the eye upwards through a dynamic interplay of light and shadow. A central, luminous sky-blue field, subtly textured and layered, is bordered by intense yellow on the left, characterized by vertical striations and deep impasto. On the right, deep nocturnal blues and blacks descend in stacked, angular segments, punctuated by delicate lime-green and pink rectangular outlines and fine horizontal incisions, indicating a structured yet fragmented surface.

This abstract work evokes a sense of architectonic grandeur and geological stratification, where monumental fields seem to shift and converge. The precise, almost technical marks suggest human intervention or measurement against the raw power of elemental color, implying a carefully constructed environment or a profound internal landscape with inherent tensions.
